Parisian Thoroughfare

Anonymous wants the soundtrack of Lili (1953). Film Score Magazine issued a limited edition of the complete Kaper score on their FSM label in October 2005. In the meantime he can download excerpts from here:

Hi Mel,

Thank you for your contributions to my blog. It's been so long since anyone's left a comment, I was beginning to think I was just typing to myself. I've added a listing for Mickey Katz on June 15 and for Diana Lynn on October 7. Please keep alerting me to any other omissions when you notice them and have the time.

Hi Mark, thanks for writing back. You may remember that I sent you a message when I first discovered your site a couple on months ago when I told you that since the late 1940s Capitol has been one of my very favorite record labels and ever since that period I have been intensely interested in the history and activity of this label. Of course, things are now far removed from what they used to be but I have continued my interest - to the extent of compiling a numerical list of all the LPs (difficult, since they used the same numbers repeatedly for different LPs - sometimes changing the prefixes, sometimes not). A very good 78s listing is available on the net at THE ONLINE DISCOGRAPHICAL PROJECT -
http://settlet.fateback.com/discography.html - remarkably good research by Tyrone Settlemier who has researched all the mail labels' 78s.

Your work is commendably exhaustive, and I've wondered how many other people out there are interested enough in Capitol to check it out every day.

I'll miss your blog when the year is through!!

Regards - Mel.

Hi Mel,

Got your comment about Benny Carter and the catalog. Very Cool!!!

If you have Excel, I can email you a few spread sheets I created from the 1945, 1946, and 1952 catalogs. You can reply to my gmail address markhn@nospam.gmail.com by removing the nospam. from the address.
